I bought this book, two goodly bundles of long leaf pine needles and the plastic container it came in for a dollar this weekend at a yard sale! Now to find those three bundles of dyed long leaf pine needles and I'm set to make a basket.

New Fall Colors

These lovely mohair rovings are available in my shop!

Mohair

I'm working on updating my etsy store tonight with some new goodies, I'm partricularly fond of these mohair rovings! I've spun some of my hand dyed roving up and will knit a shawl for myself for this winter.

Cell Phone Bag

A loop for the button to tie down the flap and a strap and this little gem is done. I made it to hold a cell phone, however, mine is bigger than the bag. I"m thinking it'd hold a small pair of scissors an a few needles and some thread for stitching. The yarn is cotton and was dyed by hand.

In Progress

I'm working on finishing this pair of socks for myself, they will be quite toasty when all is said and done! In the meantime I'm skirting and am dyeing Jacob fleeces for spinning that will also be made into socks.

I made it to the front page of Etsy.com tonight in Fringe's Treasury More Lust for Rust!!! I was so excited to find the treasury there. Unfortunatley I have no pics to share, at this point in time because thumbilizr wasn't cooperating - again! I managed to get a screen shot and it's saved in Word but I don't know how to put it here.

My favorite pieces

This piece, the red one, looks most like a nebula, it's from the Carter Smith stash of fabrics, the one below also has nebula potential but isn't as apparent in the photo.

Some of this I plan to sell in my store as an attempt to destash, there's about 50 pounds of silk scrap fabrics in this tub, no kidding! There are a few pieces, very small ones actually, that I plan to use in a quilt because they look like the horse head nebula in Orion. I may take a few of the fabric pieces and spin them into yarn.

Poison Ivy

Texturally speaking it IS inspiring, but I'm tired of itching like mad! I managed to get into a pile of the stuff while picking berries in the woods.
