WIP - Bjorkboda
I'm almost ready for the hand stitching, I filled in a bit more of the piece with machine stitching to reinforce it's structure.
The forgotten dye note text now dealt with which resulted in more brown scraggly stitching being added to the piece in a random manner.
Some verticles.
I've started thinking about the cottonwoods and how stoic they look when shrouded in the ice fog of deep winter.

Ice Jam on the Skunk River
Ice Jam on the Skunk River, I managed to get down the rivers edge and was able to get some really cool photos of the ice that was bunched up. Very inspiring for future stitching projects.

Freezing Rain
Well it looks like we will be getting some ice after all, I was hoping it would stay to the south and we'd only get snow. Oh and we may still get 9 inches of snow on top of this mess. Here's a picture from the previous snow storm.

Ice & Hand-Dyed Yarn

We are in the throes of a major ice storm here. I'm anticipating losing power as it's really coming down out there. Cell phones are charged, bought batteries for flashlights, am washing clothes as I write - will probably want plenty of clean wool socks to wear - and stocked up yesterday on kerosene for the lamps. DH wanted to use the propane heater for the house but hehehehehehe the tanks are frozen to the ground. Soooo I guess we'll have to use the kerosene heaters instead if need be! If I get a chance and the power is still on later I'll post pics of the great out doors, the digital camera is currently charging.
Here's some of my hand-dyed yarn, Loretta calls the colorway Clown Snot, I think of it as being more the colors of chicklets gum - remember that stuff!
