Cell Phone Bag

A loop for the button to tie down the flap and a strap and this little gem is done. I made it to hold a cell phone, however, mine is bigger than the bag. I"m thinking it'd hold a small pair of scissors an a few needles and some thread for stitching. The yarn is cotton and was dyed by hand.

In Progress

I'm working on finishing this pair of socks for myself, they will be quite toasty when all is said and done! In the meantime I'm skirting and am dyeing Jacob fleeces for spinning that will also be made into socks.

Bead Soup

I'm destashing my studio, whilest getting my next project together and decided that it was time for the large collection of beads to find a new home. These are from mixes I had made for various projects a long time ago and don't feel like sorting them into "solids" again.

Pick Me, Pick Me, Pick Me! Etsy Treasury included me in this treasury and it is GORGEOUS!!!

Etsy Front Page

I made it to the front page of tonight in Fringe's Treasury More Lust for Rust!!! I was so excited to find the treasury there. Unfortunatley I have no pics to share, at this point in time because thumbilizr wasn't cooperating - again! I managed to get a screen shot and it's saved in Word but I don't know how to put it here.

My favorite pieces

This piece, the red one, looks most like a nebula, it's from the Carter Smith stash of fabrics, the one below also has nebula potential but isn't as apparent in the photo.

Carter Smith Fabrics

Some of this I plan to sell in my store as an attempt to destash, there's about 50 pounds of silk scrap fabrics in this tub, no kidding! There are a few pieces, very small ones actually, that I plan to use in a quilt because they look like the horse head nebula in Orion. I may take a few of the fabric pieces and spin them into yarn.

Poison Ivy

Texturally speaking it IS inspiring, but I'm tired of itching like mad! I managed to get into a pile of the stuff while picking berries in the woods.

Inspire Me

the flowers were in a bag marked a dollar at the local fabric store! Sign me up they are bright and cheerful and a wonderful addition to any project I might have in mind.

Some where in this pile there is a piece of yarn I'm wanting to work with! I collect things, lots of bits of this and that they come in handy when wanting to work on various projects.

Some Ideas

Ink painted cotton fabric ironed to fuse a shade, I think the size is approx 2.5 by 3.25 inches (ATC sized)

I stitched the edges using my machine and laid down a bed of organinc stitches using free motion stitching.

I then stitched a silk flower to the tag using my machine and couched down some scrap bits of acrylic yarn in complimenting colors.

This could easily be made into a book mark, post card, or other small gift item. To finish it off I will add some beads and a tassle made with scraps of yarn, ribbons and threads.
