More Crows

Sorting t hrough some older monoprinted crows to see which one is calling me enough to stitch it up this week!

This Crow was mono printed onto silk dupioni (from India) that was originally dyed with indigo, as you can see in a high ozone enviroment the indigo faded and horribly so!

This one may be the one that gets stitched first.  I have a solo show coming up in April of which I need 20-24 pieces in the 8x10 size range in order to fill the space.  I'm thinking of a continuation of my Canyonland series (includes the hoodoos), and/or Prairie Remnant Series, and/or some new crow pieces.

I've stitched several black crows over the years, now I want to stitch a white crow.

It's calling my name, it wants to be stitched!

Pansies and Posies

To get the dimensional look I crumpled the paper blossoms before applying shiva paintstik highlights.  Eventually these will become part of a new series of mixed media postcards.

Studio Delimma

Delimma:  How to keep Oliver out of my sewing area when I'm not using that space???  The chair with the pile of stuff is the current gate for my sewing studio, it's butted up against my spinning wheel which is butted up against a Singer sewing machine cabinet.  This all to keep a curious puppy safe.  A baby gate won't work in this situation since there is nothing to really attach it too. so am looking for creative ideas.

John putting the storm window back on the house and doing some minor repairs while on the scaffolding.

Gorgeous blue sky today, the squirrel has been very busy picking crabapples off of the tree.

Oliver Update 112113

He's feeling much better today to the point that he's been a pest preventing me from finishing up some very important projects. Here he is laying on my studio floor, after nine straight hours of pestering me, finally taking a nap.

Oliver is Sick!!!

Oliver is sick, he's been to the vet and he was given a shot to stop the vomiting.  I waited an hour like they suggested and then gave him water, 15 minutes later he was throwing up again.  This indicates that something is stuck in his stomach.  So now I wait for John to come home so that I can take Oliver for xrays to find out if something is stuck in his stomach or not.

So...if he has something stuck in his stomach this means major surgery, and like tomorrow.  I'm putting my DVD back on sale and ditto this on the eBooks to help pay for his surgery, and the two vet visits today... I asked him a gazillion questions and I think at one point he finally figured out I was testing him... my experience with our last vet was, lets just say, unpleasant.

Studio Redux 092413 Contiues Onward!

The shelf has been moved over to it's new spot in the main studio, and soon there will be a newly rehabbed table in this spot for my new work station.

The shelf in it's new space behind the loom.  Now to get space cleared out of my office for the looms!

A mess, but also an obstacle for Oliver, this keeps him out of my sewing area and away from all of my threads.

The cheering committee, Oliver and Angel.  Notice the big yellow blob in the photos?  That's so you don't see the pile of laundry sitting on the floor that's slowly migrating it's way to the laundry room n the basement!
