In case your viewing my quilt, that's in progress, and get a wild hair to copy my quilting pattern and then use it as your own, DON'T. That would be considered copyright infringement. This is my own personal pattern design that I have been using for the better part of 10 years now. I have several others I use that are exclusively my own as well.

Kimberly, that quilting pattern appears to be a repeat of the letter 'c' in cursive or a simple wave motif which I have seen elsewhere. Do you think you would be able to defend that as your copywrite?
Claire
I have been using the small letter "c" as a continuous line quilt pattern for ages, so, have you copied the letter "c", to form a minor wave, from ME? Geez, get a grip, it isn't a distinguishable pattern at all....it is a wave that everyone has done at one time or another.....
Fine fine fine, there's nothing new under the sun so I guess this means I'm free to copy others now. As most of it is what I would definately consider public domain, yet others will defend it to the death that it's theirs.
It's just a peeve of mine of the Me Too Me Too band that sees something and wow all of a sudden now they have to put it in their work, not matter how much it looks like crap!!!
I think I need more chocolate!
