Why not print out as large as possible (close to real size if feasible) twice on paper? Keep one copy whole. The other, cut up to see how it responds to your ideas in that direction. That might inform your decision, and you can keep a record of each possibility. Good luck!

I say NO CUTTING looks fantastic like letters on a gravestone or something like that.
