Oh, I REALLY like this. A wonderful abstraction in a color palette I'm so drawn to. And I particularly like the way you've shown translucence. At least I'm assuming that's not a sheer piece of fabric but actually two to give the allusion of a sheer. Either way, it's a strong piece.
Cheating? Maybe but it IS a bit more difficult than it looks, just because I'm layering shears over solids doesn't mean it'll always work.
Odd how these things look great pinned to the surface but once you start adding stitching it changes everything - it just became a totally different animal and it doesn't look anything like you had wanted or even had hoped - NOW WHAT??? you might ask, keep stitching and hopefully it'll eventually work out right, and if not then ripitripitripit!!!

What appears to be the darkest orange color is a silk organza fabric so it is sheer to an extent.
