Musings about what I do with my natural, compost, and rust dyed fabrics, ribbons, and fibers.
Is the red beading? If it is, I sure could never get it done! Looks like it will be very textured when done.
The red areas are glass beads (about a size 12 I think), they are a firey glazed fuschia color not red. I'm using a size 12 quilting sharp to stitch them down. This piece of cotton fabric was batiked using various waxes and Procion(MX) dyes. I did the batik about 10 or more years ago and have been beading the piece since. It is hand stitched using 3 different colors of threads, and is about 1/3 complete. Good thing I have a few more kilos of those beads.Oh and no I didn't glue the beads down, I actually had someone ask me that once.
